A Forum Built by Young Thinkers
The Youth Times is a youth forum hosted by Shanghai Pinghe School and jointly founded by high school students from Pinghe, Shanghai World Foreign Language Academy, Shanghai High School International Division, and other schools.
Connecting Emerging Scholars, Academics, and Educators
The Youth Times brings together promising young people with serious academic interests, distinguished scholars, and experienced teachers across disciplines and countries. It seeks to create a high-quality platform for youth research, publication, and exchange; advance the circulation of modern knowledge; and cultivate a new generation with humanistic concern, aesthetic judgment, and intellectual independence.
Philosophy Summer Workshop
Philosophy Summer Workshop is a summer philosophy programme for high school students in Shanghai. Led by philosophy PhDs and teachers, it combines lectures, close reading, and discussion to spark interest in philosophical questions and strengthen critical thinking and logical expression.
The programme ranges across central philosophical questions from different periods and traditions. Participants encounter primary texts, practise analysis and argument, and broaden their perspectives through dialogue and reflection. The workshop offers students who wish to explore ideas in depth a rigorous, open, and intellectually curious learning environment.

Workshop I · Philosophy and Life
From the meaning of life and the experience of seeing to the relation between the philosopher and the city, the first edition explores how philosophy enters everyday life and the public world through lectures, textual discussion, and post-lecture brainstorming.

Following three threads—Aristotle and four-dimensionalism, Kant’s theory of space and time, and Weber’s Science as a Vocation—the second edition enters metaphysics, philosophy of science, and questions of modernity.
